Salou
Well the weather has picked up, a bit on the windy side but we can live with that.
Nice and warm in the Salou midday sunshine.
All Ryanair flights to and from the UK and Reus have now finished until 21st March 2011, thanks Mr O'Leary for leaving us all stranded here.

Getting colder.......
Well yesterday morning in Salou was nothing to write home about, cloudy grey skies, cold wind and threats of rain.
Temperatures down to a chilly 11degrees and didn't improve for most of the day really.
Hopefully just a temporary glitch......

Whats happening in Salou?
Well in a few words... not a lot at the moment. Nice warm sunny days folowed by cold winter evenings giving just about everyone in Salou some form of cold or flu related disease :-)
On a brighter side of things there is still life on the streets in the daytime and it's not cold and it's not wet.

Salou November 3rd Part 2
Well the sun stayed out, in fact it got to about 23 degrees this afternoon so decided to have a bike ride.
Should have put the shorts on, i was sweating after about five minutes.
Anyway, peddled down to the sea front up to the Espigó del mol, clear blue skies and calm sea, empty beaches apart from the odd die hard sunbather.
Peddled along the promenade (very easy at this time in Salou as there are not many people to dodge).
La Sal and La Barca were busy but apart from them the rest are just ticking over.
Went along the new walkway that connects Capellans beach to the rest of the promenade, peddled up the hill and down to the Shamrock for a bottle of local brew (Estrella).
Perfect way to end another lovely day in Salou

November in Salou
Well it was looking a bit doubtful this morning in Salou, cloudy and a bit breezy but by lunchtime the clouds had gone and the sun was doing its job.
Took a walk along the prom past he fountains and made my way to La Sal.
Dani the nutty prop was still there working away in his own inimitable style, had a bottle of local brew and basked in the 21 degree sunshine.
Still a few people around but things are starting to wind down now.
Robin Hood closed, Black Bull closed, Parrot Bar closed and a few other local bars got their shutters down for the winter.
Strolled back to the old town popped into the only English speaking bar still open up that end of town Newyork 2 watched a bit of rugby then headed home for the night.
Ryanair have now stopped all flights into Reus from the UK so as the winter months draw in Salou starts to settle down to the locals way of life.
