Salou celebrates 20 years of independence.

The 30th October sees the start of the Festa Major in Salou celebrating 20 years since Salou achieved independence as a municipality.

That is why the program of events starting this Sunday is dedicated to all salouenses and wants to remember and commemorate this historic event for Salou because, as the mayor pointed out, Pere Granados, "if today is the fact that there is through the efforts of all. " Therefore, "we must recognize the effort and work has been done in Salou during these 20 years and has enabled local processing. This is the third year the festival is celebrated October 30 as Festa Major in Salou, which has the unanimity of all political groups. While Wednesday will be the turn of the awards to the creativity of children and youth, on Thursday 29th and celebrate with good pace the arrival of 'big' day, the group of The Boys Choir will give a concert at the Teatre Auditori (TAS).

Almost no time to rest, and on Friday 30 October, the church Santa Maria del Mar welcome the wreath at 10.30 am. Once completed, the appointment is in the Parc de les Archaeological Remains of the Roman Vila Barenys, to be opened to the public for the first time in this opening ceremony. The morning will close, how could it be otherwise, with the massive popular paellada Park City Council whose nominal price (2 Euro) will be devoted entirely to Caritas.

The rockets, the mascletà, the concert (by the orchestra Meravella), the October 30 dinner and dance with the same set musical acts closed the big day to make way for 31: action castellera, cercavila and Halloween (with a disk of terror included) say party, fun and entertainment for those who want.
